Optimise chip handling with Modig

Modig machine tools optimise chip handling and improve cut-to-cut times with the world's first inverted machining centre for component machining changing the way the industry thinks about 5-axes machining.

MODIG is transforming the way we will think about generic five-axes part and component machining with the IM (Inverted Machining) series specifically designed to meet manufacturing needs for close geometric part tolerances, increased part and component complexity, and faster production times.

The Modig IM series has a patented design with options for single spindle inverted machines (with Mill-Turn option) or multi spindles, including the duo-spindle or quadri four-spindle inverted machining centre

How do Modig inverted machines optimise chip handling?

Machining centres that work inverted means easier chip evacuation with less consumption of coolant. The gravity makes the chips fall with a natural flow from the work piece and the working area. The stability of the inverted machining centres, together with the excellent optimised chip handling system delivers higher performance.

REPRESENTATION UPDATE:

Due to an increase in worldwide activity MODIG have elected to appoint distributors, rather than agents in many European markets. On 1st January 2025 Geo Kingsbury Machine Tools Ltd (Kingsbury) were appointed as the exclusive distributor for Modig MT in both the UK and the Middle East.

Kingsbury is a well established provider of machine tool solutions across many industrial sectors. M-Tech UK Ltd supports this agreement and will work with Kingsbury over the coming months to ensure a seamless transition process.

For UK or EIRE enquiries relating to MODIG Machine Tool Sweden Horizontal machining centres please email Mike who will share with Kingsbury, contact: MikeB@M-TechUK.com
