  • MODIG live streams chip removal

    In April 2020, Modig live streamed chip removal machining of a single aisle Aluminium Wing Rib, a strategic component previously machined on a high-end competitor’s machine in 1 hour 4 mins. Streaming live, the MODIG RigiMill MT (Moving Table model) reduced the cycle time by 59% removing chips in only 26 minutes.

  • MODIG Chip Removal Record 2017

    In 2017 Modig hosted an open house to showcase their machine portfolio including machining tests of wing ribs on the RigiMill, a world leader rigid compact gantry. MODIG achieved a world record cubic of 1,000 cubic inches in chip removal rate, beating the previous record that stood at 850 cubic inches.
